A Systemic Approach to Business and Triathlon
Blake Anderson grew up in real estate, learning from his stepfather, a broker, and has since become one of the top agents in Northern California and Arizona, ranking in the top 1.5% nationwide. Outside of real estate, Blake is a loving husband, father, record-breaking ultramarathoner, three-time Ironman triathlete, published author, and motivational speaker dedicated to helping others overcome addiction and reach their potential.
Blake’s journey into triathlon began as a way to turn his life around after addiction. What started with a 50K race in sobriety quickly escalated to an Ironman and, eventually, a 100-mile race record. Blake’s success comes from his methodical approach, using systems like diet, posture, and movement to improve performance. He realized that applying the same principles of efficiency and relationship-building to his real estate career helped him achieve success in both.
Blake’s Unique Approach to Real Estate
Blake revolutionized real estate with a flat-fee model, recognizing that traditional commission structures didn’t match the capabilities of modern technology. Eight years ago, he streamlined the process to offer a more cost-effective service. While traditional agents charge up to 6%, Blake charges a flat $7,500 for listing services, with additional marketing fees based on the seller’s needs. If Blake finds the buyer, he reduces his commission to just 1%. For buyers, Blake offers a flat fee of $10,000 for the first four homes, and $15,000 for any additional homes. This approach prioritizes efficiency and value for both sellers and buyers.
Investing In His Community
Blake has been in real estate for 14 years, and after moving to a new state, he quickly made an impact by creating the Facebook group, Sterling Grove Real Estate, for his neighborhood. Through organic growth and daily posts about real estate, the group grew to nearly 800 members, positioning Blake as a local expert and shifting him away from cold-calling methods.
Blake’s community involvement extends beyond real estate. Passionate about running, he started the annual Turkey Trot 5K charity race on Thanksgiving to raise funds for local causes. In just two years, the event raised $21,000 for St. Mary’s Food Bank, helping bring the neighborhood together. As a parent, Blake hopes the event becomes a cherished tradition for years to come.
